Happy Valentine’s Day! We went out to a special Happy Valentine’s Day! We went out to a special dinner last night and my husband surprised me by having flowers already there and on the table. (He said surprising me is hard - but he did good. I cried a little). This month we celebrated 34 years of our meet-cute (which happened at Disneyland). ❤️🥰

It’s time to announce my 2026 word of the year! It’s time to announce my 2026 word of the year! My newsletter subscribers got a first in-depth look at the word and what it means to me, so today I wanted to share at least what that word is. What is it, you ask? BALANCE Why Balance? I don't know about you but I sometimes have a hard time keeping up with everything. Quiet time, family time, Day job, Writing, Family, Health. Writing and launching two books in one year was so much fun, but it also used up every waking moment I had available. This year I want to give ample time in each area of importance in my life but not have one consume me over a long period of time. (although if I had to have one consume me, it's the book-related one....I never tire of spending time in this area - lol). I really like this Bible verse that I’ve chosen to go with this word for 2026: Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV) "To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven.” I have more to share about my 2026 focus word, so stay tuned. In the meantime, I’d love to know what word you’ve chosen for 2026. Let me know in the comments.

Have you all seen this game before? I’m super curious about it. Not sure if my family would agree. Might’ve for book lovers only. All in all, there were many books and little nooks to lose yourself, along with gift ideas, games, and a lovely Christian Fiction section! Can’t wait to go back.
I’ve ended up with quite the rooster collection. I’ve ended up with quite the rooster collection. I love how much everyone adores BERT. This doesn’t include the lighted metal rooster in my backyard that I get to enjoy both day and night (it has a solar light on it). Thanks to friends and family for all the goodies.
